YACHTBEACH delivers a giant floating beach club for the world’s largest sailing yacht

With the Orient Express Corinthian, one of the most spectacular luxury travel projects on the world’s oceans is currently taking shape – and YACHTBEACH is part of it. For this extraordinary sailing yacht, YACHTBEACH developed a fully customized modular Floating Beach Club designed to set new standards for lifestyle experiences at sea.

During the official naming ceremony of the 220-metre sailing yacht on April 29, 2026, in Saint-Nazaire, the scale of this project became impressively visible. Alongside the yacht’s extraordinary presence, parts of the modular Yachtbeach system could already be experienced in French waters. Early elements of the Floating Beach Club were seen in real-water operation, offering an exclusive preview of the final concept.

One of the largest floating beach clubs ever built behind a yacht

When fully deployed, all modules form an impressive inflatable beach club landscape directly behind the yacht, spanning over 22 metres in width and more than 25 metres in length.

The modular Yachtbeach platforms transform the aft deck area into a luxurious floating lifestyle environment, creating a completely new connection between yacht, guests, and the sea.

 

The concept includes:

  • spacious lounge and chill-out areas
  • integrated pool directly on the water
  • extensive swim platforms
  • multiple access ladders for comfortable entry into sea and pool
  • toy docks with dedicated parking for jet skis, foil boards, sea scooters and other water toys
  • modular extensions for individual setups and destination-based configurations

 

Depending on the configuration, this creates one of the largest floating beach clubs ever built behind a yacht.

Over a two-year development process, this customized project evolved from the first sketches and layout concepts into a unique floating beach club solution for the Orient Express Corinthian.

From detailed planning and engineering to production and final adjustments, every module was carefully measured, tested, and refined to ensure a perfect fit. A key focus was creating a flexible system that allows multiple setup configurations, adapting the beach club to different destinations and guest experiences.

When you’re enjoying time on the water, the last thing you want is lifting or peeling EVA padding on your platform. Fortunately, with the right tools and a bit of guidance, this is a repair you can handle yourself — quickly and professionally.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to fix lifted EVA surfaces step by step and introduce the ideal solution: the Yachtbeach 2-Component EVA & Neoprene Repair Kit.

 

Why EVA padding can lift

EVA padding is designed for durability, comfort, and grip, but constant exposure to sun, saltwater, and mechanical stress can eventually weaken the adhesive bond. This may cause edges or sections to lift from your platform.

The key to a long-lasting repair is using a marine-grade adhesive system specifically developed for EVA and neoprene/Hypalon materials — exactly what YACHTBEACH provides with their professional repair kit.

The recommended solution: YACHTBEACH repair kit

The YACHTBEACH 2-component repair kit is a complete, onboard-ready solution for fixing EVA and neoprene surfaces.

Step-by-step: Repairing lifted EVA surface

To help you get the best results, there’s also a step-by-step video tutorial available from YACHTBEACH. Follow along with the instructions below:

1. Prepare the platform

Inflate your platform fully before starting the repair.

2. Clean the surface

Remove old glue residues using a suitable solvent or alcohol.
Let everything dry completely.

3. Choose the right conditions

Work in the shade and ideally in a dry environment (max. 80% humidity).

4. Mark the repair area

Use a pen to outline the bonding area and apply masking tape along the edges for precision.

5. Roughen the surfaces

Lightly sand both the EVA and PVC surfaces using coarse sandpaper. Only work within the taped area.

Replacement patches if the adhesive is used on inflatable boats or neoprene.

6. Mix the adhesive

Mix glue and hardener in a 1:1 ratio in a glass container (avoid plastic).

7. Apply the first layer

Apply the adhesive evenly to both surfaces using a brush. Avoid applying glue twice on the same spot.

8. Drying time

Let the adhesive dry completely (approx. 20–40 minutes).

9. Second application

Apply a second layer and wait 2–4 minutes until slightly tacky.

10. Activate with heat

Use a hair dryer to gently heat both adhesive surfaces before bonding.

11. Bond the materials

Carefully press the EVA onto the PVC surface. Smooth it out from the inside outward using a roller or spatula.

12. Clean excess adhesive

Remove excess glue using a hard eraser or similar tool.

13. Curing time

Leave the platform inflated for at least 24 hours to ensure proper bonding.

!!! Only use the repair kit in well-ventilated areas. Avoid skin and eye contact with the adhesive – ideally, wear protective gloves. Keep children and pets away during use. The adhesive is flammable – do not use near open flames or at high temperatures. Store the repair kit in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.

The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is an annual international exhibition in Monaco.
The MYS is divided into two main exhibition areas: on the water and on the quaysides. On the water, over 100 superyachts and more than 50 luxury dinghies are exhibited by the most prestigious manufacturers and brokers on the market.
The Monaco Yacht Show is world-renowned for the exceptional quality of the superyachts and their impressive length: of the more than 100 units on display, over 40 new models are presented as world premieres each year.
